Motion and Capture
Time as the foundation of exploration.
Our intention was to portray the mundane aspects of our everyday life. With this in mind, there is a sense of time within these parameters. In detail, the sole focus on the viewer and the subject is the aspect of “going through the motions” ordeal.
Conceptually, this perpetual aspect of the constant time cycle was achieved by showing both the present and the reverse. Specifically, the beginning of one video is the end of another. Essentially, time “cancels out” each other by having a present video that is positive, and a reverse video that is negative. This fits with the mundane of just going through the motions. This implies the effect of not considering the presence of time and mind of time doing these actions.
